Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Lipid Droplet Breakdown in the Liver of Chinese Soft-Shelled Turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis)

چکیده
The Chinese soft-shelled turtle ( Pelodiscus sinensis ) is among the most primitive amphibians and reptiles in nature. On account of its environmental suitability unique hibernation habit, peculiar physiological phenomenon P. attracted attention researchers field marine science. present study aimed to investigate molecular mechanisms underlying periodic variation lipid droplet (LD) liver . Histological results indicated that accumulated LD during non-hibernation was gradually consumed hibernation. RNA-Seq revealed genes responsible for carbohydrate catabolism were down-regulated hibernation, while involved oxidation up-regulated. These suggest energy metabolism changes i.e., generation mode shifted from oxidation. Further analysis both lipolysis autophagy could promote degradation hepatic To further determine relationship between process breakdown, we applied inhibitors (diethylumbelliferyl phosphate 3-Methyladenine) cultured primary hepatocytes main way hepatocyte data provide clear evidence about seasonal hepatocytes, corresponding with different

The study of microanatomy of intestinal epithelium in the Chinese soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis)
The microanatomy of the intestinal epithelium in the Chinese soft-shelled turtle (CST) was studied by light and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The small intestinal epithelium (SIE) was single layered or pseudostratified. The enterocytes contained mitochondria or mitochondria and lipid droplets. The enterocytes were arranged tightly in the apical parts of epithelium and connected by des...
متن کاملIdentification and Functional Analysis of Interleukin-1β in the Chinese Soft-Shelled Turtle Pelodiscus sinensis
Chinese soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis) is commercially cultured in East and Southeast Asia for its nutritional and medicinal values. In this study, we identified interleukin-1β (IL-1β) from Chinese soft-shelled turtle. The full-length cDNA of Pelodiscus sinensis IL-1β (tIL-1β) consists of 1529 base pairs with an 831-base-pair open reading frame, encoding 277 amino acids. The guanine-...
متن کاملExtraction optimization and characterization of collagen from the lung of soft-shelled turtle Pelodiscus sinensis
The soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis) is a commercially important aquatic species with abundant collagen content and precious nutritious high quality goods. The present study was to optimize the collagen extraction from lung of Pelodiscus sinensis. Single-factor test was employed to investigate the effects of different extraction methods and the major factors that influence the collagen...
متن کاملImmunohistochemical analysis for G protein in the olfactory organs of soft-shelled turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis
In turtles, the epithelia lining the upper and lower chambers of the nasal cavity project axons to the ventral and dorsal parts of the olfactory bulbs, respectively. In a semi-aquatic soft-shelled turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis, more than 1,000 odorant receptor genes have been found, but it is not known where they are expressed. In this study, we aimed to clarify the distribution of cells expressi...
متن کاملExpression of TLR2/4 in the sperm‐storing oviduct of the Chinese soft‐shelled turtle Pelodiscus sinensis during hibernation season
The initiation of innate immunology system could play an important role in the aspect of protection for sperms long-term storage when the sperms got into oviduct of turtles and come into contact with epithelium. The exploration of TLR2/4 distribution and expression in oviduct during hibernation could help make the storage mechanism understandable. The objective of this study was to examine the ...
